The Griffin Fund
In 2023, the Academy at Palumbo's Home and School Association launched The Griffin Fund, an annual fund used to fundraise for specific needs of our school that the School District of Philadelphia and traditional fundraising are unable to support. In collaboration with Principal Thompson, the PHSA helps identify those areas of need each year.
For the 2023-2024 school year, we raised $24,180 towards our $25,000 goal to support our sports program through the Athletic Department. These funds went towards tournament fees, athletic uniforms, and other supplies for over 200 athletes.
For the 2024-2025 school year, we raised over $8500 towards our $15,000 goal to support the Health & Wellness of our school, which included the makeover our Counselors' Suite into a Wellness Center.
For the 2025-2026 school year, our goal will be $17,500 to continue supporting the Health & Wellness of the Academy at Palumbo's students, teachers, staff and visitors. We will be doing a full makeover of the 1st floor hallways and main entrance.

Starting on the last week of school 2025, The hallways were cleared and a base coat of paint. Over the course of the summer with the collaboration with Principal Thompson, HSA board and volunteers of the Palumbo families got to work and created a total facelift to the 1st floor hallways, main office, bathrooms and main entrances. The 1st floor has a totally NEW look and we are happy to help add to the celebration of Academy at Palumbo's 20th year anniversary!!
FUNDING FOR THE 1st FLOOR REMODEL: Much of the furniture, paint, supplies and other items were purchased upfront so the space would be ready for the start of school. We are still fundraising to cover the cost of those purchases.

If enough funds are raised, we hope to do the following:
